Sckipio CTO Shares End-to-end G.fast System at TNO

Rami Verbin, co-founder and CTO of Sckipio Technologies and a leading voice in the broadband industry shared his clear vision of the path forward with G.fast at the TNO Ultrafast Broadband Seminar on June 17, 2015.

During the two day event, Rami laid out the entire end-to-end G.fast solution and walked the audience through several powerful insights about how to plan out your infrastructure to achieve the highest flexibility and price/performance. He also showcased several key pieces of Sckipio news:

1. Sckipio is the first to showcase a G.fast modem sitting inside an SFP design. This breakthrough will allow service providers to achieve economies of scale, design flexibility, faster time to market, more competitive CPE prices and improved operating efficiencies.

2. Sckipio partner, Adtran will be developing a 24-port G.fast DPU based upon the Sckipio DP3000 chipset. This is the world’s first 24-port G.fast DPU and leverages Adtran’s passive cooling technology.

3. Sckipio is providing the complete solution – including the G.fast management layer. This will speed complete solutions to market more quickly and ensure the highest performance end-to-end. With this in mind, Sckipio also demonstrated it’s SDN-enabled management layer in a joint demonstration with AT&T, PMC, and ON Lab.
