OVERVIEW

The Sckipio G.fast DPU Reference Design is a complete G.fast DPU solution including all the hardware and software needed to evaluate G.fast in a multiple installation scenarios. 

The DPU EVM implements 16, 24 & 48 FTU-O transceivers that comply with the ITU G.fast recommendations (G.9700/1) as well as additional functionalities required within the Distribution Point Unit (DPU) and defined within the G.9701 System Reference Model Recommendation.

All of them supports the 212a and 212c profiles.

The Sckipio DP23000-EVM is designed for ultra high speed broadband for MDU, Single Family Units and businesses. It also is an excellent solution for cellular backhaul.

Vectoring Control Engine
  • On-chip VCE providing system-level vectoring
  • Vectoring group size of up to 96 lines
  • Scalable VCE processing power
Low Power Consumption
  • Locally power 110/220 VAC (50-60 Hz).
  • Average end-to-end transceiver power of 1.5 watts per line
  • Low power modes supported across the whole reference design (DFE and AFE)
  • Multiple power save modes lowering actual consumption under real life conditions
  • Full discontinuous mode support for lower actual consumption under real-life conditions
  • Support for L2.0, L2.1 low power states
Cross DPU Vectoring
  • All DPUs can cascade to create larger vectoring groups using the dedicated cross DPU vectoring connectors.
212a Channel Bonding
  • All DPUs are capable of bonding two channels of Gfast to achieve even greater performance and speeds
Interfaces
  • Two SFP optical interfaces with G.999.1 support
  • Support up to 2x 10G (on select models)
  • One Gigabit Ethernet port
  • One 100Mbps Ethernet port for management
  • One USB port 2.0 for management and diagnostics
